My artistic practice explores the expressive potential of matter in a constant state of transformation. Through processes of pouring, layering, and the movement of pigment, I allow chance to engage in dialogue with intentional decisions, crating forms that exist between the organic and the abstract.
Each work emerges as an event. Pigments flow, expand, collide, and settle, revealing structures that evoke cells, living organisms, geological landscapes, or celestial bodies. I am drawn to the moment when matter appears to acquire a life of its own, resisting fixed interpretation and inviting multiple readings.
The expansive white space surrounding each form serves as a field of contemplation. Rather than representing absence, the void becomes an active element that amplifies the presence of the image and encourages an intimate encounter between the artwork and the viewer.
My work reflects on transformation, fragility, and resilience – forces that shape both the natural world and the human experience instead of depicting a specific place or object, I seek to create perceptual spaces where uncertainty, movement, and change become the central protagonists.
Each painting invites the viewer to discover that even within apparent chaos, there are rhythms, memories, and the possibility of new forms of existence.
Eva B. Gorson, born in 1955 in Denmark and based in Miami, Florida, is a painter who brings a modern touch to the art scene.
The artist harnesses natural light and its visual perception, color as an expressionist element, and emotions as changing states of human nature to connect us with amorphous, dreamlike landscapes rich in transparencies, resembling ink washes, with a powerful visual impact.
