In my work I emphasize the gesture that derives in individual ability and personality. I like to dig into the emotions starting from my own and work on them from an ironic and satirical perspective to communicate and make the viewer think. I enter the images to reveal what is hidden behind them, so that on their own they show the character of the idea.
I use balanced compositions where the monochromatic predominates, and only give strokes of color to accentuate certain areas where I want to bring attention.
In my work Neorealism and Pop Art are very present because both reflect contemporary social reality. In my paintings and drawings you will not find the fantastic or the abstract. I work the images as they are, without excluding details or elements as ugly or low from an objective point of view.
I use dry techniques, such as pastel and charcoal because of the texture and richness these materials provide to the work, as well as acrylic, which I only use according to the need and the characteristics of each piece. I do not use a definite support. I work on many materials like canvas, cardboard, paper, corrugated cardboard, wood or mirrors. The choice of an endorsed support also depends on the needs of the work and what I want to say with each one of them.
